Standards Based Solution

m|Toc is a standards based solution compliant to SIP/SIMPLE & 3GPP and OMA messaging standards.

Integration with Public IM

Mitoc provides integrated application interface for users to use their public IM accounts (Yahoo/MSN/GoogleTalk) on the same interface. This provides mobility to the user and drives usage and delivery value. All standard presence and instant messaging features of public IM are supported in the application.

Application Opportunities

With the Instant Messenger on mobile, a wide spectrum of applications can be provided using IM as the channel for content delivery and interaction from the user. Both consumer and corporate users can benefit from the IM as the delivery channel for information and content for any type of media. Being in the familiar interface provides ease of use and standard text and graphics based interface provides wide acceptability among the user base for the applications.

Network

There is no change to the existing network and the miToc service seamlessly integrates with any existing GPRS and/or 3G network. Subscribers can get started with instant subscription.

Deployment of the system can be done without making any change to network. Any subscriber with data connectivity can start using the service.

ORG provides additional services for completing the IMPS framework. These include Authentication, charging, location and group services along with presence and Instant messaging service.

Billing & Charging

The server also has an optional DIAMETER module that can be used for Authentication, Accounting and Authorization (AAA) functionalities.

Instant Messaging

The Instant Messaging Module provides exchange of instant messages between two SIMPLE based clients. Messages can be exchanged in paging mode as well as session mode.

Presence is the main driver behind instant messaging. Availability will enable the sender to know weather the receiver is available to read the message or not. Instant messages sent in paging mode are store and forward, where if a user is not available, the message is stored as offline message and delivered as soon as the user is available.
